We are a growing restaurant in Sobah Al-Salem, Kuwait, looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. If you have a passion for cooking, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the local food market, this role is for you. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating a variety of dishes, managing the kitchen staff, and ensuring that all operations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in Kuwait, be familiar with the Talabat platform, and have the ability to source ingredients and communicate with suppliers. We are seeking someone who is ready to join our team immediately and contribute to the success of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head Chef, your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Menu Creation: Develop and execute a creative and diverse menu that aligns with the restaurant’s theme and customer preferences.
  2. Talabat Management: Manage orders through the Talabat platform effectively to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
  3. Supplier Management: Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers, ensuring the timely procurement of fresh ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  4. Staff Management: Supervise kitchen staff, ensure high standards of hygiene and food preparation, and provide training as needed.
  5. Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage food costs, and ensure minimal waste by maintaining efficient inventory control.
  6. Quality Assurance: Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s quality standards, focusing on flavor, presentation, and consistency.

Your leadership and culinary expertise will be essential in driving the success of the restaurant, ensuring that both kitchen operations and food quality are top-notch.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  1. Experience: Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant, with a deep understanding of local cuisine.
  2. Talabat Proficiency: Familiarity with using the Talabat platform for managing food orders and deliveries.
  3. Supplier Communication: Ability to contact suppliers and negotiate the best deals for quality ingredients.
  4. Language Skills: Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  5. Visa Status: Must have a transferable visa and be ready to join immediately.
  6. Local Knowledge: Significant experience working in the Kuwait food industry is essential, as well as an understanding of the local customer base.
