Canonical is a leading provider of open-source software and operating systems, seeking a Regional Director of Enterprise Open Source Sales to oversee multiple teams of enterprise sales representatives across various regions. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of Canonical’s innovative open-source solutions in the enterprise sector, leveraging the extensive reach of Ubuntu in breakthrough initiatives such as public cloud and AI.
Duties
- Build and execute a territory plan to prioritize outreach and prospecting efforts.
- Allocate portions of territory and accounts to sales representatives on your team.
- Identify and prioritize new logo accounts for account-based marketing and prospecting.
- Ensure high-quality account plans for existing accounts and priority prospects.
- Monitor new pipeline development through outreach, local marketing, and industry events.
- Support contract closure to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets.
- Collaborate with customer success to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce.
- Represent Canonical, its solutions, and software effectively in the market.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Experience with open-source technology and solutions.
- Detail-oriented with effective planning, organization, and reporting skills.
- Experience in enterprise software or technology sales planning and execution.
- Track record of achieving sales targets and securing new accounts.
- Self-discipline and motivation to succeed in a distributed team environment.
- Professional written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages relevant to your market is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for customer engagements and industry events.
Additional Skills of Interest:
- Specific vertical experience in finance, telecommunications, healthcare, energy, public sector, or technology.
- Experience speaking at conferences or industry events.
