Job Briefing:
The Liberal Arts Department (LAD) at AUM is actively recruiting full-time faculty members for Physical Education courses. We invite applications for the positions of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, starting from the Fall 2024 semester.
Job Description:
- Course Preparation: Collaborate with faculty to develop course materials, including syllabi, presentations, and assignments.
- Lecturing: Deliver engaging, student-centered lectures utilizing available learning management systems (Moodle and Banner).
- Assessment: Administer and grade formative and summative assessments while providing constructive feedback to students.
- Office Hours: Maintain regularly scheduled office hours to assist and advise students.
- Meetings: Attend faculty meetings and participate in departmental activities.
- Research: Conduct research and publish findings in accordance with university policies, contributing to the advancement of research activities within the department.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Ph.D. in Physical Education, Sports, Exercise Science, or a related field from an internationally accredited university.
- Teaching and Research Excellence: Demonstrated excellence in teaching with a strong publication record in indexed journals.
- Commitment: A strong commitment to AUM’s mission and a learner-centered approach in education.
- Leadership and Accountability: Ability to contribute to departmental activities and demonstrate a spirit of leadership, commitment, and collegiality.
