Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in electrical design works, specifically in the oil and gas, chemical, and petrochemical industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and relevant certifications, along with a commitment to safety and quality in engineering design.

Duties:

• Conduct electrical design works for projects in the oil and gas, chemical, and petrochemical sectors.
• Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD and ETAP for load flow, short circuit analysis, relay coordination, and motor acceleration studies.
• Perform illumination calculations using Dialux or equivalent software.
• Prepare detailed calculations for cable sizing, equipment sizing, and earthing & lightning protection.
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as IEC and IEEE.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality electrical designs that meet project specifications and requirements.

Requirements:

• Experience: 8 to 10 years in electrical design within the oil and gas, chemical, or petrochemical industries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, and Dialux or equivalent software.
• Strong understanding of cable sizing, equipment sizing, and protection calculations.
• Awareness of international electrical standards (IEC, IEEE).
• Smart Plant Electrical experience is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
