Electrician Journeyman

Vectrus is seeking a qualified Electrician Journeyman to join our team in Kuwait. This position supports the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) and involves a variety of electrical tasks under the supervision of a Master Electrician. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with established codes and standards.

Duties:

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain electrical systems and components for power distribution and generating equipment.
• Perform operations and maintenance to ensure continuous power supply to telecommunications equipment.
• Maintain the facility’s electrical distribution system in optimal condition.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) 2008 for existing constructions and NEC 2011 for new constructions, along with relevant contract specifications and military standards.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Master Electrician.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in electrical wiring, including planning and installing distribution systems under the supervision of a licensed electrical contractor.
• Must be CAC eligible or able to obtain a Common Access Card.
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining a host country driver’s license.
• Thorough knowledge of Electrical Codes and safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, especially in diverse environments.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Work may be performed in indoor and outdoor environments, including hot, dry, and desert conditions.
• Physical demands include lifting, climbing, standing for prolonged periods, and exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
