Responsibilities

As an HSE Supervisor/Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Safety Management: Overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management on the project site, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Risk Assessment: Conducting regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implementing preventive measures to minimize risk.
• Training and Development: Leading safety training programs and toolbox talks to educate staff on proper safety procedures and protocols.
• Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensuring compliance with local, national, and industry-specific health and safety regulations, including environmental standards.
• Safety Audits: Conducting periodic safety inspections and audits to ensure all safety measures are properly implemented and maintained.
• Report Preparation: Preparing and submitting regular safety reports, audits, and documentation to management, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience as an HSE Supervisor or Engineer, preferably in construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
• Certifications: Relevant safety certifications, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA, are highly preferred.
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of HSE standards, regulations, and best practices in Kuwait and the broader region.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English (Arabic is a plus but not required).
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address safety concerns and implement effective solutions.
• Team Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams to foster a safety-first culture across all operations.
