An oil and gas company based in Fahaheel, Kuwait is seeking an experienced Purchases Representative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing spare parts for heavy equipment, trailers, cars, and generators. This full-time role requires familiarity with local suppliers and market trends, and the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary parts.
Duties:
- Source and purchase spare parts for heavy equipment, trailers, cars, and generators from the local market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure the best pricing and availability.
- Evaluate supplier offers and negotiate terms of contracts.
- Manage the procurement process from quotation requests to delivery, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Keep detailed records of purchases, including receipts and invoices.
- Stay updated on market trends and parts availability to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of parts as needed.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in purchasing spare parts for heavy equipment, trailers, cars, and generators.
- Familiarity with the names, types, and nature of spare parts is essential.
- Valid Kuwaiti driving license.
- Must have a Transferable Visa 18.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to maintain vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
