Safety Supervisor

Primary Objective:
As a Safety Supervisor, you will implement KOC PMC Safety policies, the HSE Management System, and project-specific HSE Management Plans. Your role is crucial in ensuring compliance with relevant HSE legislation and KOC HSE requirements.

Duties:

• Safety Policy Implementation: Implement and monitor the project HSE Management System, ensuring adherence to KOC and statutory safety requirements.
• Data Management: Maintain statistical data for the project and prepare reports for the Worley KOC PMC HSEQ Manager.
• Advisory Role: Provide advice and assistance to EPC HSE managers to reduce risks to project employees and the environment.
• Safety Management System Review: Review EPC contractor Safety Management Systems and advise on necessary changes.
• Professional Relationship Development: Foster professional relationships with KOC, regulatory bodies, and EPC contractors to enhance the image of Worley.
• Site Visits: Regularly visit the project site to maintain safety awareness and conduct safety training sessions.
• Safety Observation Program: Implement and maintain a quality safety observation program and ensure follow-up on findings.
• Hazard Identification: Assist EPC contractor management in identifying hazards and planning work to maintain a safe environment.
• Inspection and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of work areas with the EPC contractor line manager and prepare reports.
• Communication: Disseminate safety information throughout the workplace via bulletin boards, newsletters, and other means.
• Accident Investigation: Assist in the accident investigation process and report findings accordingly.
• Safety Initiatives: Develop and implement safety initiatives to improve performance and achieve safety objectives.
• Induction Training: Ensure HSE safety inductions are conducted for all new employees in accordance with EPC contractor SMS requirements.
• Monitoring: Monitor the availability and use of safety apparel and equipment.
• JSA Development: Provide advice on developing project-specific procedures and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) training.
• Communication Facilitation: Ensure open and effective communication on HSE matters between KOC, Worley, EPC contractors, and subcontractors.
• HSE Issue Control: Accountable for identifying and controlling HSE issues on construction sites.
• Safety Reporting Procedures: Familiar with safety hazards in common construction activities and HSE reporting procedures.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Education: Diploma in Engineering or HSE-related field.
• Experience: Minimum years of post-qualification experience, specifically in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Safety Supervisor Experience: Relevant experience in a Safety Supervisor role with practical experience in identifying and controlling HSE issues on construction sites.
• Certified HSE Training: Successful completion of one or more certified HSE courses (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor).
