Our team in Kuwait is expanding, and we are seeking a skilled Sales Executive to help grow our freight forwarding business in the region.

Job Briefing:
The Sales Executive (Freight Forwarding) will be responsible for building and expanding their personal Book of Business (BOB) within the branch’s geographical reach. This role requires a seasoned professional with experience in freight forwarding sales who can implement company strategies to drive growth and increase revenue. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a proven track record in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment.

Duties:

  • Develop and grow a personal Book of Business (BOB), focusing on increasing volume, revenue, and profit margins.
  • Drive both new customer acquisition (hunting) and the growth of existing clients (farming) within the BCO (Beneficial Cargo Owner) segment.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities and tailor sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with Branch Operations to customize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) around the specific needs of clients.
  • Manage day-to-day client requests for export/import quotations, ensuring seamless negotiation and deal closure.
  • Liaise with internal networks and external partner agents to provide top-tier service to clients.
  • Utilize the company’s CRM system to manage the sales pipeline, track activities, and support the Field Sales Incentive Scheme.
  • Stay up-to-date on local regulations, industry trends, and best practices in freight forwarding.

Requirements:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of recent and relevant sales experience in freight forwarding is mandatory.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry, including operational and sales processes.
  • Sales Skills: Proven ability to research, identify, and close business opportunities, with a focus on generating growth and revenue.
  • Agility: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Technology: Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, carriers, vendors, and partners.
  • Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus but not required.
  • Driving License: A valid Kuwait driving license is mandatory for this role.
