Senior Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Senior Nurse to join our medical department in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric nursing, specifically with elderly patients suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia. This role requires patience, compassion, and the ability to effectively manage challenging situations.

Duties:

• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to elderly patients, focusing on those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure the highest standard of care.
• Support: Assist patients with daily living activities and guide them in following medical instructions.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient care and progress.

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of nursing experience, particularly in geriatric care.
• Education: A recognized nursing degree and necessary medical certifications are required.
• Contract Duration: Minimum commitment of two years, with a requirement to provide three months’ notice prior to leaving.

Personal Attributes and Communication Skills:

• Proactive: Ability to take initiative and anticipate patient needs.
• Patience: Exceptional patience when dealing with difficult patients, employing strategies to persuade them to follow care instructions.
• Physical Strength: Must be physically strong to assist with patient mobility and safety.
• Language Skills: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
