Canonical, a leading provider of open-source software and operating systems, is seeking a Solutions Architect for Automotive to engage with high-profile partners in the automotive industry, including companies like Mercedes, Ford, GM, and more. This role involves leveraging Canonical’s innovative technology solutions to drive enterprise adoption of platforms such as Ubuntu and OpenStack.
Duties
- Engage with customers during presales to gather requirements and explain Canonical’s technology.
- Collaborate with experts within Canonical to create comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.
- Deliver projects related to Embedded Linux, including demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Convey market requirements to stakeholders and assist in refining solutions to unlock market potential.
- Act as both a customer advocate and a trusted advisor to Canonical.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu).
- Solid embedded Linux experience, such as Yocto or RTOS.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, in addition to the local language.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Interest in customer engagement, including pitching and understanding client needs.
- Ability to multi-task and a personal drive to meet commitments.
- Relevant experience in the Automotive industry is required.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for client meetings and company events.
Additional Skills (Not Mandatory):
- Familiarity with ISO26262 and/or ISO21434.
- Previous experience with customer engagements.
